Question by JR: What other options to handle Citibank Visa card rate adjustment to 29.99%?
First, Citicorp (and its affiliates- Citbank, etc.) are a travesty and mockery of the Credit card “business”. We have been loyal and diligent customers (never late on payments) since 1989. How do you handle 29.99% rate increase? We already closed this account. There are new credit card laws that took effect this February 2010. We are considering not paying (approximate balance is ,000). Any options- by the way, we have tried to dealt with the “customer service”. They are incompetent (to put it mildly).
Best answer:
Answer by Common Sense You have no options other than try to find another loan to pay this off. The new rules haven’t kicked in yet. Not paying would only ruin your credit and hurt you, not them.

Question by coderX: How to link a credit card with my account with no monthly payments.?
So, I’m 18 and very confused with this whole credit card “business”. All I want is a simple credit card that I can use that when use it, it will extract the exact amount out of my account and pay the merchant in full with out letting me go over the set money in my account. THAT’S IT. No monthly payments, no credit points, just cut and dry card. I’m getting this so I don’t have to carry around cash and if im every mugged I can cancel the card before anything is spent. So what do I get? A visa? A master card?
Best answer:
Answer by Hoppelemine You need a Debit card and not a credit card. A debit card will do exactly what you want. Go to your bank and ask them about it, Visa or Mastercard really makes very little difference, they are just the company that processes the payment.
Question by Smiley: Will my business credit cards activity affect my personal credit history and FICO score?
I am a self employed photographer and own my own photography business. I have several personal credit cards and several business credit cards I use for business expenses. As I am preparing to buy a home I recently requested my credit reports and FICO scores from all three credit bureaus. I did not see my business credit cards showing up on any of the 3 credit reports. Why is this as I thought my “business” cards were just regular credit cards with the name of my business on them? Since I do have substantial balances on these cards from my business expenses will this effect my FICO score even though these business cards do not show up on my credit reports?
Best answer:
Answer by rivasj27 yes if your name is on it somewhere. Anytime you turn over your social security number it can affect your credit score.
Question by StellaBtheWriter: Do I actually need to own a business to get a Chase Business Card with Premier Cash Rebate?
I already have a Chase credit card, but they keep sending me this offer for a Chase Business Card, and it has a better APR. I don’t operate a business. Can I still sign up for this “business” card and transfer my balance from my current Chase card to this one?
By the way, I’m not trying to cheat any system here…. I just want to know if it is allowed that I use this “business” card as a personal card.
Question by jeneve57: Has anyone here had a good experience with “care one credit” i heard a commercial for them on t.v. ?
They consolidate debt, but i didn’t want to get involved with them if anyone here had a bad experience.
Best answer:
Answer by 700CreditScore If you google the name of this company, you will find about 40 page-article on them outlining former and current clients bad experience. If there is no way you can negotiate payments with your currents creditors and you need to consolidate your debt, I strongly recommend to go to your local colleges and universities. Most of them have programmed like that set up.
Please educate yourself on the dangers of DEBT CONSOLIDATION.
